Shock interchange?

Hello members I was looking to install a used rear skid shock into a VK.The shock required is a 8FN-47481-30.Can I use a shock from another model ? It's just that a new shock for the VK is $400. + American!! Yikes.

You can get an aftermarket shock from just about any kimpex dealer for $100 or less. I recomend buying locally too.
