New to the Yamaha world, been Arctic Cat my whole life and mite switch to Blue
,anyyways I found a 02 SXR with a little over 3k miles. Could probably get it for around $2000. Is this a decent sled and or deal? Ill be testing it out on Monday if our snow stays and is there anything I should look out for? What kind of compression should I be looking for?
I dont plan on doing any serious trail riding just local trails and lakes.
Any good HP/preventative maintainence mods?

Make sure the compreasion is all within about 5 psi. Look for a cracked w arm in the skid. Other than That they are good sleds. For hp mods, reed spacers, jetting, thin head gasket and bored silencer, All free. Then clutch and re gear it and they can be one hell of a sled m.

Dependable sled. Fast. Not very good suspension when compared to cats. That is a fair price for the sled. Make the change!!

Lots of free mods. It's a gas-n-go sled. You won't see you tools nearly as much.
