I was wondering if there were any members on the forum that have a service manual for the 1999 600 SX triple? I am wanting to adjust my cable end play and I have only found specs for an 03 model which states,
2mm throttle end play
Between 20-22mm cable free play for oil injection pump
And 0.5 to 1.5 end play on the choke cable.
Is there anybody out there who can confirm these specs? Like I said, these specs I have found were for a 2003 model and my sled is a 1999. I don't know if they made any changes to the power plant and could be the same but if anybody has a service manual and can verify these specs that would be very appreciated. I'd like to be certain before I go adjusting cables.

Oil cable is right. The rest sound good. When you adjust your throttle just make sure you are able to get the carbs wide open after you set the play. I keep my choke cable on the looser side.

I have the manual for a 1999 Vmax SX 700 and it has the oil cable free play at 21 to 23mm (.83 to .91 inches). Hope that helps. It also shows the throttle cable free play at 1 to 2mm (.04 to .08 inches).
