We just put a set of cpr pipes on my brothers 03 viper. The cheaper version of the clutch kit came w/the pipes which is supposed to get you close. (primary and secondary springs using stock weight/helix combos). Is there a better clutching setup people are using assuming racing across fields/airstrips is more important than backshifting? I also have a set of 40-10 heelclickers and a 48/34 helix, along w/ a few other helixes to try. Snow conditions are loose snow/slop right now, so it's hard to judge, but once we get some hardpack and/or an 1 1/4 track, we want to rock! In 100% stock form, it can't hang w/ a friend's new rev 800 ho. The ho pulls a couple good lengths on everybody after about 50' from the launch pad. Top end might not be stronger, but we're gunning for him! Any clutching tips? THANKS! (PS- the airbox is completly stock. Leave it alone?)

CPR Viper Clutching

I've got an '02 w/ CPR pipes and Heavy Hitters from Jeff. It absolutely rocks! I'd highly recommend upgrading to the Heavy Hitters as they are very easy to dial in and perform flawlessly. I have excellent backshifting and great performance all around. That 800 HO will have no chance. If you do het the HH's, let me know and I can help you get them dialed in.
