I run a 2000 SRX with standard shocks (Kayaba's I guess.) and I'm looking for performance AND better ride quality. My little 700 can hang with the newer sleds, but after a long day my back reminds me I'm not 20 anymore. What would I gain with better quality shocks, Ohlins or other brands?
A couple of bucks

My feeling are.....you can get WAAAAAAAY more bang for your buck if you rebuild them. If you send in your rebuildable shocks to Pioneer, they can rebuild, revalve & respring for your specific riding style & exact body weight + riding gear. For less money too.

And if you go a few more steps and use Viper shocks and limiter straps you can get an even more cushiony ride and some more travel.

10-4 on the viper set-up . Wider and longer travel equals a better machine. While you are at it viperize the rear skid too.

Joe did your mean "vaporize".
Better yet get rid of that no action Pro Action. I installed an Apex GT skid. Wow what a difference.

Mac where have you been hiding? No I meant Viperize but your point is accurate the Apex GT skid is better but a lot more work than just Viperizing the SRX suspension... Lets ride that thing this year....
