I am getting ready to do The Polaris edge skid swap in my SRX the SRX is a 2001 the skid is out of a 2002 I've done two of these before and I know there is lots of information on here I was wondering if I could please get as much help as possible I need pictures to see if people that did this before use their original braces on the outside the ones that loop down onto the floor boards one time I did this and I could not use the original braces the other time I could my measurements must of been off a little bit please send me as many pictures or post them and as much information on this is possible I'd like to move it or use my original braces on the outside I know I'll have to use new ones for the inside but I'd like to still use the outside braces also has anybody ever moved the rear mounting brackets on the edge skid so that it changes the angle of the way the skid sets

rear stock mounting brackets u can use, the front ones you have to make
do a search lots of pics on this site
i know there is that's why i stated in my first post, you stating what i said doesn't help me ,but i cant find pics of the rear mounting wanted to know if folks still use the outer brace or not, any pics would help i think jb shocks rear mounting location is a little higher so you cant use the outer brace
not sounding rude not meant that way just cant find pics of these , someone has to have them

I really don't see why you don't use the rear mounting plates. The differance will be in how the sled sits not the angle of the new skidframe.I would do a check of the clearance of the wheels to the bottom of tunnel, were the track will run.Not unless you wanted a high back end but it is kind of usless with a srx and there low front end.
I did manage to find some pics if you use the original settings off at JB shack page for the add skid it puts the rear mount a little bit above the old mount which means you can't use your outside brace to cover up the ugly marks that it leaves I wanted to lower the back and also's or actually I meant lower the skid so that the rear and sets up tire I will have to check with this maybe I'll do the front mount and then just swing the skid down and see where it lines up at I got a SRX 2001 it only has 774 original miles it's a shame to do this but I'm gonna it's all original the thing don't even have a scratch on it it's on real I got the old skid out already

Yammitrip, do you have the link to it... I tried finding it but couldn't .... Im stumped on the skid I wanna use, I was leaning towards a 136 mono shock skid and back it up to 144... now im thinking about a edge skid, any one know if they ever came in 136?? I don't really want to buy a M10 aftermarket skid since they are very pricey for an old sled ....

No I didnt use the brace that goes on the outside but used a big washer. I kept the inside bracing though. I removed it before to add drop brackets but its in the same place as before. NOTE I removed those rivets and added higher quality ones. I Used the stock front mount and a 4x4" peice of aluminum ( I forget thickness atm ) at the front.
