Would someone have the dimensions to put a proaction suspension from a 98sx into my 78 exciter chassis? Thanks chris

center of drove shaft to front w arm mount is 4 3/4" back. front w to center pivot is 11 1/2" apart. front w to rear scissor is 27 1/4". all center to center. inside top of tunnel down to front w is 5 3/8". center pivot down 4 1/8". rear scissor is down 6 1/8".

pretty sure the trailing arm pro action skids are a bit wider than that enticer tunnel. seems like they are just over 16" wide, perhaps almost 16 3/8".

Not a skid I would use in an Exciter with leaf springs. Without the ride height and travel to match the rear it will be a mule to handle. Many have swapped in first gen Phazer skids and been OK but I don't think you'll be happy with the results of your swap.

Good Luck,

opsled

Thanks guys. I was considering putting in a phazer 2/exciter skid into it. I want to keep a 121 skid in for better track options and availability. Then at the track where we run a lemans course a few guys have put the 8 inch proaction skid in. These guys are always up towards the front. Figured it would be better as I could make more adjustments and tuning to it than the older skid. As for the width it doesn't seem like it would take much to narrow the cross shafts to fit the tunnel.
