I ordered the tracks USA 136" extension kit with the ice attack 1.22 track for my 03' viper, is there anything I should know before I do the install?

While you are in there, I would suggest swapping the 9 tooth drivers to 8 tooth, just as the Mountain Viper had stock. Torque is amazing, Limited top end loss, but the improved bottom and mid range, well out weighs any loss on top. Al

Mine lost almost 10mph top end with the 136x1.25 with 8 tooth

You also will have to re-gear for the 8 tooth. You can run the 1.22 track with 9 tooth unless your studded. 38 bottom 24 top is close to stock ratio with 8 tooth. Look into anti-ratchet sprockets. My 136 liked to ratchet when I got on it in deeper snow. With a few mods and some clutching, I can get most 800s from the holeshot but they usually catch up with me haha. If I were doing it again I would stick with 9 tooth, 1" lug with lots of studs for "lake and trail". I would have just put a skidoo skid in because the pro-action isn't even in the same playing field as the sc10...and Heel clickers

We did not regear at all. I really don't see any reason to regear. How often are you running in the tripple digits anyway?? In all reality, I will more than likely run 8 tooth drivers on both of my SXR's also. Al

So your running a viper with stock gears and 8 tooth? I never even tried it...any idea what your top end is? I run the lakes a lot and ive been thinking about changing my set up...always like to hear what is working for other guys...I do get a lot of track spin. Also Going to try and get my rear end set up a little better its not transferring as well as id like. What's your riding style?

- I ran mine over existing tunnel, with tabs under running boards. You'll see what I mean when you fit it.
-If running a rear cooler, you need to make all your own cut-outs for flow tubes and coolant bleed screw hole.
-If you don't have one already a heavy duty rivet gun is nice.

We are running a 1.25 track with 168 1.5" studs. We run mostly two tracks and groomed trails. Rarely are we on the ice or lakes. Snow depth of knee to waste is very common. Labor ourselves on groomed to enjoy the two tracks. Yes, we probably lost 10 mph from max top end when it was a short track with 1" lugs. Not a concern for us though.

Installed the tunnel extension today and it was a pain to do. It was basically just a blank tunnel end. I had to notch it for the heat exchanger and grab bar, not to mention the like 40 rivets had to crack.

Finally got to reinstall the skid today. Took some wrestling to get it in place and bolted back to the tunnel tho. The track rubs the tunnel protectors and the front heat exchanger protectors. Should I remove them or cut the track to fit?
