aftermarket rings on OEM pistons?

tend to run OEM with OEM. others may be made different thickness, Nice Idea to save a little money but how much do you really save when something might happen. Just my 2cents

I hear ya, I have always done that too, OEM with OEM, however, I just noticed the aftermarket listed them as OEM replacements and even showing the OEM part numbers with them....

I guess the true way to find out is to mic a oem and a aftermarket and see what they look like together and see what type of material they are. Some times they will use something that is of lesser quality.

I have done it many times and I have never had a issue ............for many of my vintage sleds there are no OEM rings out there and if you do find them they are priced so that but the time I buy a pair of oem I could have bought 8 aftermarkets for the same price this is on the single ring pistons .............I find SPI rings to be good quality ....
