I just out a camoplast ice attak XT 1.22 on my 02 viper. The track rubs on the front protectors. I've heard of guys unbolting them but mine on my viper is tig welded into place. Anybody know how to remove it?

From the diagram I looked at, it looks bolted and riveted in place, its a big assembly if I am even looking at the right diagram. Not sure what a front protector is.

I assume you meant to say you just installed a new track?
As COB suggested, a cut-off wheel but if it were me I'd trim the track and leave the protectors in place.
Isn't the ice attach molded with studs?

leave them in just notch the track or run it as is, it will notch/wear the track on its own for the first few miles. You can notch the track only where its gonna touch the front exchangers with a brand new razor knife will cut the track like butter just take your time and trim carefully. If you remove those protectors and your track is loose you will ruin the heat exchangers and then you will ruin the engine in short order.

I has said screw it. Let er buck. It doesn't rub much and it doesn't touch where the studs are anyway.
