I bought a 2000 srx 700 that needed some work.
About got it done.
The headlight cover that I bought for this year is not the same as the one that came with it.
The one that came with it had holes bored out that match the holes in the hood (for air flow), and it had a plastic cover that went over that.
Can someone tell me what sled this two piece headlight cover came from?

That sounds like a cold air kit. Can you post a picture?
Thank you very much for the reply.
I hope these pictures come through.
First is the one that came with the sled, its missing the top cover that was riveted on.
Second is the one that I bought for it.
Third is the secondary. The end of it has a knurled bushing on it that spins. Any idea what that is or does?

yeah...that looks like a cold air kit. That thing on the secondary is used for adjustment so you don't have to use the shims.
Second pic is the stock headlight cover in black. A 2000 SRX would have had this part in blue originally.
The first pic is the same part as in the second pic, but modified for the aftermarket cold air kit. There were a handful of different cold air kits offered back then, yours has the cutouts & rivet mounting of the Bender Racing kit, which is still available today. Does the top of your airbox have foam around the perimeter at all, even if brittle due to age? Maybe post a couple more pics with the hood open, one of the airbox top and another of the underside of the hood where it would meet the airbox.

The knurled adjuster is for belt deflection. It's an adjustment you make as your belt wears so you can adjust for wear to keep the belt sitting flush or just slightly above the top of the sheaves. The stock way to do it is by adding or removing shims under the three bolts on the back side of the secondary sheave. The unit you have is wayyyy easier.
If that headlight shroud isn't broken and only has the cutouts shown in the pics you may be able to sell it,there's always someone looking to try a cold air kit.
