Any body have any neat tricks to keep snow flaps from getting tore up? I just put reverse on and know its going to be tough not to suck up the snow flap...

Some people use thick leather straps on back side to help keep flap stay out. I got tired of ripping my flap off so i kept it off. That works to.

On long travled sleds running on hard pack that snow flap helps put snow dust on the rear exchanger so I wouldn't recommend taking it off. I k ow people who use a little hand clamp to hold it on the back bumper when reversing.

Cut 'em shorter, mount higher up on the rear panel if there's room, or source a Venture flap that's already shorter.

I'm thinking a hook of some sort on the bottom of the snow flap that would be used to hold the flap up to the bumper. Mostly just need this when backing up into the bus or trailer.

Mount it up higher if possible. If you were to buy a new reverse kit from yamaha rivets for the flap are included so you can mount it up higher.

Don't have a pic but I took a strap from an old back pack, the 1" nylon type, cut it into 2 pieces somewhere in the range of 10" a piece, loop them around the bumper, one on each side and rivet them on each side of the flap to hold it out.
