After reading some posts, I am lead to believe that a warning light will flash a code if something is wrong. Is this true?

Only for certain things (electrical circuits) as they get newer there are more and more fault codes. There are fault codes listed in tech section. For example 7 steady flash the re-peats is power valve servo not responding. Not a "bad servo motor- change it" or "cables just pulled threw" or "Valves are FILTHY" Just means there is an issue and its not working as it should and needs investigation. If you have multiple fault codes temp light will Morse code the lowest one re-peating, when you fix lowest one the next code will flash out.

When you start your sled you should get 3 flashes real quick, this is the "bulb test" and the code for continuity to temp sensor. Basically the "good to go code" I have a 2000 that the year before last (fine years prior and after????) decided it was going to be weird and do a 1 flash or a two flash upon start up more often than the 3 flash, searched here and found others that had same random 1 & 2 flashes.....still runs GREAT!
I wish they would all flash as a bulb check.
