I have this posted at the end of another thread but got no response so I figured I would try it under a new post. I recently installed a new 1.22 x 136" ice attack on my 03 viper. It rubs on the tunnel protectors and front heat exchanger protectors. Should I remove the tunnel and heat exchanger protectors or trim the track ? Running 9 tooth drivers tracks usa extensions. Any advise would be appreciated.

I'd trim the track

You don't need to trim it. It will wear off. I just put one on my sled.

How long did it take to wear on its own?

I think someone else on this forum had the same issue. I never followed up on what he did but maybe search it.

Looks like mine had less clearence than yours? It seems to mostly be interfering with the tunnel protectors

Had a friend buy a viper with a 1.25in track on it awhile back. The owner before him never trimmed the track. Looked at the sled closer one day to find the front exchanger protectors had holes worn into them from the track rubbing them. So it's a good thing you trimmed it!

the top of them is just a shank that sits in a hole in the tunnel, the vibration elongates the hole and pops the rivets on the bottom.
