I bought this 98 vmax sx 700 triple as a "wrecked piece of crap" (sellers words when talking to him the first time) the guy hit a tree straight on going about 30 mph. he then parked it for 4 years. I bought it about 3 months ago and have changed out almost everything in the front.
Here is a few before pictures of the front end please excuse the mess in the garage.
Here is a few during and after being fixed.
It still needs a new hood and a new set of hauck pipes but it is atleast rideable at this point.

And Brad Cox comes out of the bullpen in the 9th to get the save!! If it does infact have Wisecos in it, make for D@mn sure it has plenty of warm up time before ya hammer down. What is wrong with the triple pipes on it in the picture.

They weren't exactly in useable shape we decided to detune it and put the stock exaust back on for now. The main reason we got this sled was all the performance stuff on it
Here is a list of a few things the guy did to it.
- ohlins front shocks
-milled down the head for compression
-ported exaust
-mikuni carbs
-vfiorce delta 2 reeds
-rear suspension
-all the wheels in the rear I don't know the correct term for all of that
-primary and secondary clutch
-3 inch handlebar riser
There's probably more but I can't remember it

Now it is leaking a steady stream of gas out of the bottom of the engine area. Does anyone have a guess as to where it may be coming out before I tear into it? Just wanted to know if there is a common problem with these spitting out fuel.

Nice job! My sled I bought pretty cheap a few years back now, has had a horribly rough life. Id first look at the fuel lines they might be really old and cracking?? just a thought. I've found many things over the time I've had it that point to accidents and abuse. It's like the sled is the son of an alcoholic abusive father whose all grown up now. Lol. I just found that under black paint my trailing arms are both blue... Hmph? Also many parts have been drilled with hole saws to save oz of weight I guess? So dumb.

Well I found out the fuel is coming out of one of the vent lines so I am going to take carbs apart and see what I can find. I hope this is it.
