Hey Guys, i'm new to this forum so im sorry if this is a redundant question, didnt see anything in FAQ or after a quick search. I have a 2001 SX700r that im trying to get in running order for this season (its been sitting in my shed since '11) and when i was tearing her down i saw a crack on the exhaust manifold and my stock can is completely rusted out :o|. When i went on Ebay and say the price of those 2 parts i also saw i could get a stock triple pipe setup for a SRX700 for around the same price. I was wondering if installation of this exhaust setup is feasible? Im fairly certain it will line up however i'm more curious about jetting. As far as i know im running stock jets rn, could i safely run these same jets, or should i buy SRX jets to run with the pipes? Or do i need to get an aftermarket jet setup?

Aw! Well thats a bummer. I guess ill just go get myself the parts that belong there then
now 1 more question. Say in theory if someone were to modify the hood to allow clearance, so that would no longer be a factor, could i make it work? Or do i have completely the wrong idea here

There are plenty of people in the our CLASSIFIED adds that have stock & aftermarket pipes for it. Just put a WANT add in. Aftermarket will require you to rejet but they usually make somewhere around a 20 hp gain and a massive kick in the shorts. Look for pipes from an SX ,SXR ,Mountain Max(MM) or redhead.

Hey thanks, theres the helpful comment i was looking for! Much appreciated! I just remembered my buddy down the street has a couple sxr's so hopefully he'll hook me up but if not i'll be posting a want ad. Now i just have to deal with the crack in my exhaust manifold, highheat jb weld to the rescue!

You will need to rejet, Really don't think the SRX pipes will fit under the hood.
