Looking to put a clutch kit on a stock Exciter primary. Does anybody make one for these any more? If so who or what is the best kit o get for these machines?

No one makes anything for it anymore. There may be some out there tho. I like the silver/silver spring in mine. The yellow/ red is supposed to be a good spring too. A 49/39 helix pulls really hard. a lot of guys like the pink spring in the secondary, but I really like the white spring. You could always go to the new style clutch and use thunder shift or heavy hitter weights. Then you could use the 88r secondary.

Find a EXCITER II wide belt clutch and secondary for it. You will NOT be disappointed!

If you're looking for clutching for the 88, check out hauckpowersportsinc.com. I got a clutch kit from them. Asked for aggressive kit and they ask about what setup it had and made the clutching to work the way I wanted. Got a great trail sled out of it. They were helpful as well. You can go this route if you don't want to spend time or money looking for other clutches. But I have to admit, the exciter II clutch setup is seemingly better than the exciter I. Too bad I don't own an exciter II or some clutches, only ridden a friend's 92.
