Thanks for reply, you are very well respected on here! No pics, its a Yamaha helix that was machined, don't know who does this, but works pretty good. I must recheck the primary weights though. I may consider a Dalton, 54/46, as I do mostly lake running, drags. Also going to invest in transfer rods, hooking up pretty good, but need alittle more weight transfer. thanx!

O.K., here are the pics finally, not a fan of windows 8! Did a lot of testing, now confirmed running at 8000 rpm. need 8300, need some weight off tip, will do today. Installed Bender transfer rods, not much change, maybe alittle better. Just wish I knew what 'clutch kit' was installed, so I know!
primary spring is yellow/white/yellow. secondary is pink dot.

I am definitely no expert but did you check powervalves? I had mine in upside down last year and it would not rev like it does now with them cleaned, installed properly, and adjusted. Made a big difference. Might want to check that first. Just a thought.

valves are clean and adjusted nice. stock gearing. To alter engine speed, primary weights are adjusted. shift rpm is right at 8000, so weighing weights and adjusting accordingly.
I just wish I knew what weights these are to begin with!!!

Don't they say 8AB?
No them are 8bu-00 more for drag race. Thats not a re cut helix. Not sure on brand. But if your pulling 8300 just need a little off the tip rivets or little more wrap on the helix. You said secondary was on 6 but there is 3 other settings on clutch 1-2-3. What was it set at?

Thanks for identifying! They were off 1 gram from each other, now all at 48grams. Not a big fan of tightening the helix, as efficiency goes down. putting them back in and try. Thanks again for the help!!!
Worn belt or belt deflection can drop 200 rpm

those are 8bu weights, good drag race and can be used for trail but they dont backshift real well for tight woods riding, the helix if it is really a 51/45 good combo with the weights. using your yellow/white/yellow with a red secondary spring will likely cause a underev because the rear spring is gonna be awfull soft with a fast shifting primary weight and a fast shifting helix. I would start off with the red dot sec spring at 80-90 if thats all you have to work with. You can go to a green sec spring and then back the twist down to 60-70 because its a stiffer rate spring, the red is soft so youll need more twist to hang onto the belt.

Thanks, I'll try. Interesting, Drew24 mentioned powervalves. got me thinking, they are cleaned and installed correctly. However, I did pull cover off servo. Cables are very loose. When started and running, idle and throttle up on stand, it just moves slightly. I will investigate. Where does the servo get its information/signal?

Guys, found it. When I cleaned the Pvalves, the cables themselves unwound from the sevo pulley.. Just printed off adjustments off of tech pages, back to da garage! this should make a huge difference, no???

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! servo cables had unwound, maybe from me cleaning, or guy before me had them screwed up. At any rate, 8300-8400, almost buried the speedo at 120, wow! Thanks again for everybodies help!!!
