As well as a different spline they are also a bit longer.
If you want to use the Viper spindles with SRX or SX trailing arms, you will need the Viper Aluminum steering arms and a spacer either at the top or bottom of the spindle...bottom will raise the front end of the sled a bit.

I was just wondering because I like the look of the aluminum arms. Is there anyone that makes an aluminum arm for the srx?
Thanks

I put a full set of viper trailing arms on my mountain max and if you ask me it was a wonderful improvement.
A couple of bucks

I have the Viper spindles, trailing arms, front shocks and steering arms on my `128 SXR. I like the added height of the new front end. You could get the V max deluxe trailing arm and spindles, they are the same spline as the SXR could save you a couple bucks. Al

I was just looking to get some aluminum spindle arms.
Cb performance makes them.

I just looked on their website and all I found was the aluminum spindles.

You can't put the aluminum arms on your spindles. The sx spindles are a corse spline, the vipers are fine spline. The sx has a groove that the pinch bolt goes through to keep the arm from sliding up. The viper spindle has a groove for a snap ring to hold the arm on. They are 2 different animals with nothing interchangeable but the ski bolt bushing and ski bumper.

I do know that the viper arms will not fit, but they do make aftermarket arms for the srx, I just need to find some.
My bad, I thought you were after the spindles themselves. I had some sno-tek steering arms on my sled and I cracked/bent both of them last season , put the stockers back on. Called sno-tek and they still had some in stock so I bought another set... I haven't put them on yet though because now I'm gun shy on them. The old ones were on the sled for like 10 yrs, so I don't know if they were just stressed or if I was just riding too hard?? Anyway I saw bender had them on clearance last year, I would call them. If not try sno-tek. The sno-tek arms have the centers completely machined through where others I've seen like benders are solid centers. Good luck!

I just looked at the sno-tek arms, I can see how they might be a little weak with the centers machined out like that. I found some on benders site that look alot stronger and are cheaper but they say that they fit all proaction sleds from 97-04, not sure how they can say that if the viper splines are different.
Yeah, go for the benders. I wish I would have saw those before I purchased another set of sno-tek arms. They sure look trick compared to the stockers.
