Need clarification

Similar but yes they are different. Cases interchange but from what I have read the SRX top half design is a lot more free flowing then its viper counter part. Carbs will interchange (Some guys put SRX carbs on the Viper, never heard of the other way) Cylinders and head (Viper one head, SRX is 3 individual heads) don't interchange in stock form.

there is NO differance in the viper crankcase and the srx they are both the same .....those interchange on any srx from 2000-02 and any year viper.

crankshafts interchange, theres a differance in the pork chop style(viper) and the full circle(srx) but neither one makes more power then the other does, so they will interchange either way

pistons are the same other then the srx uses a coating on the ringlands and the viper piston is slightly lighter in weight, again both wil work, rings exact same parts.

where youll find the differance is the cylinders and the cylinder heads they do not interchange from the fact they use a differnt exh. bolt pattern, length of exhaust port and the heads are differnt. The viper uses a mono head with gasket, and the srx uses seperate heads with grooved cylinders for o-rings instead of a gasket.

carbs are the same size but differnt slide cutaways and differnt needles and nozzles. the vipers are leaner set up then the srx is thats why nobody uses viper carbs on a srx, but use srx carbs on a viper.

powervalves not the same. recoils are different, 2000 and up stators are the same . 2000 plug is different. 2002 viper cdi is magical race cdi box you will buy for $500 for 01-02 srx. 3:16 (yammie tony)
