So this past spring I had removed my primary clutch and took out the spring while it was being stored over the summer, and then installed it back on my sled but didn't tighten the bolt. And then the other day I put in my clutch puller and tightened it but nothing happened. I had read some posts on here and packed the inside of the shaft with grease, that didn't help. Next I tried heating up the inside shaft and using my impact, and still nothing. Seeing as how I didn't tightened the clutch bolt up over the summer Im a little confused as to why I cant get the clutch to come off. So was wondering if anyone had any ideas??:o|

With the bolt not being tight you may have gotten some moisture in there and caused it to rust. When you did the grease trick did you put enough grease in there? Also...I wouldn't use an impact on something like that.

Yeah, I'd tip the sled a little bit, shoot a little penetrating oil in there, let it set for a bit, and then try to remove it. Like Shaggy said, probably got a little rust in there.

Tip on side, fill with water and tighten. If it don't pop off right away ( which it should). Let it sit overnight and let nature do it for you. As the water freezes it should pip off.

Well the things I did were all things I read on here in some old posts. When I stored it I put I put the bolt in just didn't tighten it. And yea I put a good amount of grease in there, but maybe there could be a little rust in there, I'm really hoping there's not. I think I'm gonna try the water trick and hopefully that works. So if I do get the clutch off my next ? is what should I do if there is some rust in there? By the way thanks guys for all the tips.

Use super fine grit sandpaper. the stuff you use to wet sand with and it will come right off with no problems and safe for crank. Then I always use the smallest dab of never sieze on the crank. Keeps rust away and makes it easy to remove the next time.
