I just found out tonight that my center crank bearing went out it looks like, and the rod is shot also. I was told I could either spend the money and have it fixed, buy a used crank, or buy a used motor. What kinds of prices would I be looking at for each of these, and what are you guys' opinions? I am not a mechanic, so I might have not explained it all that great, but I am sure that you will know what I mean. Thanks in advance.

used motor usually go for $1000-1500 complete, used cranks $375-450, used cylinders $140-150 each average with used piston.
To repair yours it would be more then those prices as your gonna have a crank all rebuilt, parts for the cranks are expensive, then labor on top of that. Also, more then likely the cases will also be pressure cracked on the bottom when the rod bearing goes, so they would need replaced or welded.

Give Jeff a call at Midwest Crankshaft in Green Bay - (920) 434-3630, He might be able to give you a price on fixing your crank. There was also a guy on here that had some rebuilt viper cranks for sale, I thought he was asking $375
