bypassing kill switch??

does anyone know how to bypass the killswitch button on a '99 vmax 500? my daughter crashed it and the button broke off, i assume in the kill position, cause i cant get it started. sleds pretty messed up, but i think i can fix it. if i cant get it started though, i may just part it out(dont want to do that)
 

just unplug it black and black/white wires, its only connected when in the kill position. Or use a sheet metal screw and screw down into the broken stem and pull it back up.
 
The tors is disabled by the carbs. The bullet conectors are plugged into each other. I'm not sure how to disable it by the throttle.
 
looking at wiring diagram you can just snip the black/white wire, cut it right in the middle of the switch to plug section so you can resolder it back together when you get a new kill switch, this will eliminate the kill switch but leave the tors switch hooked up. i wouldnt leave the tors switch bypassed on any sled, especially a kids sled, so when you get it fixed get the switch at the carbs working, likely the cable is too tight or its come undone off the throttle screw.
 
thanks again Mr.Viper. i unplugged the wires at the handlebars. i pulled and pulled, nothing. popped the spark plugs out, dumped a little gas in the cylinders and she fired, then died. it will run on the gas i dump in, but thats it. atleast i know theres spark now. any idea why it wont get gas? 3/4 tank full. any ideas anyone?
 
tell me more about what happened to the sled at crash time, it was running fine before i assume?
 
we hit a tree (i was on the back, first time i let my daughter drive) at about 50-60mph. messed up the left side. ripped the controll arm, steering, ski, shock, and left bellypan off. hit hard enough to break 2 left motor mounts. bent left side bulkhead a little. ruined the primary clutch. thank god she stayed on the sled, and didnt get hurt (couple bruises). my left legs screwed up. bruised from hip to ankle, tore my mcl in my knee. i got a bigass brace on my leg, so im ready to start fixing the sled. im thinking that the pulse wire came off the fuel pump? thats where my brother said to look anyway.
 
its a 99 vmax 500. it sucks cause i had that thing in like new shape. im looking to buy all the parts listed above, if anyones got them for sale, let me know.
 
pulse line would be hard to knock off but the fuel tank line will pop right out of the tank fitting its just a press fit, check that its right at top of tank metal fitting that the hose runs down to fuel pump.
