Why is it stuck? Did you have a cable pull through?
Theyre not stuck but i have a bad cable and a power valve to replace, I just wondering how much low end power you loose by running them open. I'm just running it about 2-3 time a year so i dont want to put a lot of money in

I have broken 3 power valve blades on my SRX so I was thinking of doing away with my power valves as well.
One day 2 years ago I ran mine with the power valves locked open just to see what it was like.
The sled was very doggy down low with my normal clutch set up so I spun the clutches off my ported and piped 700SX and installed them because the SX is basically the same port timing as my SRX is, without the power valves.
The sled actually ran pretty good with my SXs clutching other then it was over revving on top as I run the SX at 8800. The sled was constantly flashing a servo code because I had it unplugged and locked open.
I never ended up running with the power valves open permanently as I had a machinist make me stainless steel power valves and I no longer have a breakage issue.
That ported and piped SX still beats my SRX in a drag and on top end...but gets no where near the fuel economy.
Thank you sideshowbob, that's exactly what i wanted to know. Well i think i'm gonna keep them working, just in case i want to sell the sled. My dad has a tune sx too and that is a crazy fast sled, and no worries with thoses stupid powervalve either. The only reason i prefer the srx is for the look...

Myself and a couple friends have run them with the PV's in peril. Broken cables, stuck valves.......unknowingly at the time but they ran fine, just a bit down on top end. My old Viper would roar up to 85-90 mph, then struggle from there on.
