i see lots of guys putting newer and what seems to be more plush seats on there exciters. im all for more comfort so which ones fit these vintage buggy's the best? maybe a photo or 2 of yours and some experiences.

Great question Pete! My son was just asking me for a better seat for his Exciter and I told him I would have to check into because I don't know of any off the top of my head. Never even heard anyone making a seat upgrade on these old sleds. I also would appreciate knowing if anyone else has tried this?

I've seen quite a few internet pics so i know it can be done just not sure which seats were looking for. hate to buy and experiment. the suspension leaves alot to be desired so rather then change it out figured maybe a better feeling seat will erase my memory on the suspension. help us guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a skidoo rev seat on mine and its works excellent. I had to cut the front end of it and mix it together with an exciter front end to make it fit. Then bring it to the upholstery guy, but the result was really good. Got some pics and vid. on this place: search for "exciter and restoration worldwide on facebook"
I did something like this: Mixed the two seats then a visit to the upholstery guy and voila yamadoo is born
