76 STX 440 / EX440 Bent Bulkhead

My sled, 2 parts sleds I've found, and pictures online all show this bend. I'm assuming it's a common failing point? How can I repair it, or should I just put it back together and not worry about it?

I have straightened way worse than that .........you will have to strip the while sled down and a porta power and chain will take care of it ....just have to take it slow might need a little heat on the main part where the support is to aid in bending back and most likely you will have to reweld the support because the weld might rip ...............too bad as it looks pretty clean

I was really hoping it was a factory bed. Lol! Well I guess this project will get getting a little more involved. The sled is really clean, almost all complete. All the chrome is still in great condition. I rescued it from a guy that used it to drive to his ice shack and back.
