SRX 700 with a RED head 700

hey guys, any of you guys have done or seen or have pictures of a red head 700 in a SRX chassis i got the 02 srx the engine completly exploded on me today in my other post i got pics on it, i would like to know if its possible putting one those motor in the srx chassis, i got 3 of them just want to put it in untill i get parts for the srx, any pics are details would be greatly appreciated thank you.
 

I don't think so but just set it in and see how far mounts are off. Maybe line right up. I think the pipes wont fit. Glad you have parts coming. A blizzard probably is too(thats my luck)
 
the intake side mounts lines up just not in front got 1 inch shorter, will figure something out, i have tripe bender pipes for the sxr engine and power inc pipes so im not worrying about the exhaust set up
 
Find another Srx motor! Don't ruin a classic with a non original motor!

youll also have to switch the complete wiring harness and cdi, up as they are all differnt. unless its a 2001 sxr your gonna switch to a 175 watt stator and the dual bulb headlight from the srx will be too much draw, the grips are also a differnt resistance for the warmers. the tach wont work unless its from a large guage sxr, your gonna run into all kinds of issues with this, its not gonna be a swap in and ride kinda deal, your looking at a major swap over.
 
i know you would have to change everything this aint my issue here, i have 4 red head motors all diferent years, i jsut did a swap with my 97 mountain max 700 with a 2001 motor with the 01 wirring harness i know what iam doing, what iam asking is if its possible and if someone ever did put the red head in a srx chassis, now im running a 98 sxr 700 updraged the shroud with dual bulb just one bulb connected i like the looks of the dual bulbs, and i think i prefer riding my sxr more the my srx now, im now fixing up my mountain max with some bender pipes, runs awesome
 
I have a 98 srx700 that has a 700 redhead motor in it. Its has SLP pipes that fit well. Custom bracket for the exhaust side motor mounts looks like it was made easy enough.


It also appears that whoever built this sled managed to use the SRX700 wiring harness. I see the SRX700 harness plugs into the 700 redhead CDI but you have to leave one plug disconnected. It just dangling because the 700 redhead CDI's only have 2 sockets vs. SRX having 3. Anyone know what the plug thats left hanging actually controls?
