My son has my old MM700. He says last year speedo stopped working. Didn't think much of it, figured it was cable or small key section going into end of jackshaft. recently took clutch and cable off and found that jackshaft bearing is gone. not just broken but gone completely, nothing left of it. What else should I look for or replace to fix this.
Thanks Dan
Thanks Dan
Put in a new lower jack shaft bearing and as long as you have it apart you may as well do the chain case one as well.

Chain case side bearing will be damaged from the movement of the other end of the shaft. While you have it pulled that far apart you might as well do the jack shaft bearings too.
You got very lucky!!!! Whenever your speedo quits.........so do you!!!! I have seen people think it's just a cable, and continue riding until the chaincase cracks. I had one guy bring me his sled, with the bearing blown right off, and the driveshaft was moving so much, that it had ripped, and worn a big gash into the tunnel. NEVER ride a sled when the speedo quits!!!
