Hi, I have a 2000 SRX with a destroyed piston and cylinder on hole number 3, number 2 isn't much better and 3 looks decent... Not going to use the sled for much trail riding, mainly ice drags and such. Should I be doing a big bore? What should I be doing to make some big (bigger) hp with this thing? I do not want a mod sled.. more like improved stock ect. Let me know. Thanks in advance.
Send it to Iantomassi out of bowmanville Ontario for improved stock package you won't disappointed 180-190hp range

Is that with after market pipes? 180/190hp is a lot of hp.. Don't think that's possible with The stock pipes
No with aftermarket pipes, stock I think is only good for 165-170. You need the big bore pipes from bender or hauck or custom made

I think they have a big bore and then a stroker setup also. Don't know HP on those.

depends on your budget, a big bore is $2000, would need aftermarket pipes another $1350, then full improved porting for the topend and case another $500-600 and then the clutching to make it all work $200-300 so your looking at $4200 right off the bat to go big bore improved motor pipe set up to get to 180-190hp.
only you can decide what the budget is and if its worth it to you.
if you repair the 700 with the stock srx pipes youll be maxxed out at 165-168hp no matter how much engine work it will only make that much as the pipes will be the limiting factor. Thats a pretty strong engine up from a 140hp stock, they run hard and are way cheaper usually these engines are around $1500.

I talked to Gerry at IANTOMASI TRACK N' TRAIL and I think I'm going to stick with a 700 because I want to keep the stock pipes and he said pretty much what you said mrviper700. I am going to get it ported and boost the compression along with boring the carbs. Does anyone have any suggestions for gearing? It will be for 660ft.. Also any clutching set ups for drag racing 660ft would be great too. I haven't looked to hard into what is in it for clutching now but I know its got a hauck roller secondary kit. Thanks again.
