yes it does work, you will need an aftermarket secondary helix or a spacer, and you an gear down one tooth on top for same speed and better take off, or just add it and gain about 4-5 mph on top end.
but you will need special tools to install it,

speed ring
that ring goes under your helx to alowe your secoundary to open up more and drop the belt down farther. note i have tryed these twice on two sleds once on an srx and on my rx 1 as well and the belts ran very hot and they would blow on both sleds

Why don't you call Hi-tech and find out . The yamaha, dalton and bender helix are all the same style, just different angles. Bill.

This ring in picture #244 is the correct way. It goes on first then the helix. If you have a hi-tech E-R secondary you don't need it. If you have stock Yamaha secondary you need it. Bill

Hi guys,I am having the same problem with my speed ring that I installed it seems alright at slow to mid range but at top end it seems to gain top end but then the rpm drops down slowly to 8000 and it feels like the belt is binding up,then the belt starts to rip of the top layer off it,it lasted 30 km I have installed the secondary spacer and my cutches are perfectly set up with a sled pro clutch tool so I know that my clutches are good,I have just installed a heel x roller secondary and will try to see if this solves the problem but if anybody has any suggestion please tell me so I can get this thing to work properly.
Thanks steve
