With a stock cluth what is the max rpm we should hit wot without to much concern. Mine I am pretty sure hit 9000 before I let off and that was in the first couple hundred feet.

The model of sled and engine size will determine what your shift out RPM should be. For SRXs it's a rule of thumb to shoot for 8350-8400 but the V Max I have no idea. That being said, with stock clutching I've seen my tach in the 9000 range pretty easily, but you should know that in an SRX after 8700 the cdi will retard the timing so you'll be losing power then. The same rule applies to pretty much any 2 stroke, after a certain rpm the timing drops off which is why you want the clutches to be calibrated for a max rpm.

Ya I hadn't even pinned the throttle pretty close but not all the way. Still new to these sleds don't want to blow it up. Rpm was still on the increase when I chickened out. Also not sure if previous owner had done anything with the engine.
