Hey everyone. Quick question. I've done some looking Round and I really couldn't find anything. Here is my question. When sitting on a flat surface, the back four boogie wheels are slightly off the ground. My suspension isn't set really stiff, maybe limiter straps, I have no idea. Any thoughts!?? Thanks guys

Try loosening up your limiter straps some, I bet you will see those wheels get closer to the ground.

I've tried loosening the limiter straps, I think there is a thread in here about proper adjestment of the rear suspension, I'll look into that

If rear boggies are not flat you probably have too much preload in center shock, not enough in rear shock (check gap 50/50 on transfer rods when sitting on it) or your limiter straps need to be pulled up not let out. Pulling up limiters will bring front of skid up alowing the rear to sit flat. But i would go through whole process of the skid set up BTV does.

What skid?

It should be the stock skid on an 01 SRX, I'm gunna be home all day tommorow after a root canal, so I should have plenty of free time to read up and mess with things

are you looking at it without anyone on it? like mentioned you would need to pull the straps up not out and the transfer should be near the center with even gaps with you on it. remember by shortening your limiters it will add weight to your skies.

When I sit on my sled, and I'm looking at the adjustable transfer rods. When looking for the 50/50 top and bottom, do I imagine the plastic spacers aren't there? Or look at the space that the spacers don't take up?

And when it says to set pre load to 0 that means the softest setting while sitting on the ground correct?

The way I understand it is the total gap should be centered. If you push the washer up and measure. The gap would be the same no matter where the washer is. You need to look at the gap itself. Hope this helps

Also, when getting the front shock to 0 pre load, and looking at transfer rod gap, should I have the adjustable transfer rods set to 0 also? Or the recommended setting for my sled
If u have newer yamaha plastic skis on it they sit a bit lower which causes the wheels to not touch , have u or the previous owner switched skis ?

In the wright up, it says "if the front of the sled moves up" is that the front bumper or the skis? I have everything at zero pre load limiter straps as loose as possible and the bumper still moves up when I sit on it. I'm stumpped

The transfer rod gap should be there not at 0. I think if the sled moves up that means teetering on the center shock. Does the sled lift or just change angle from the back going down? I am no expert on this. I did recently go through all this and that was my understanding of it.

The angle changes, the skis do not go up, just the bumper moves up

You don't want ski lift.

What total gap do you have in your transfer rods? When you sit on the sled where is the gap on your transfer rods? Centered, high, or low? If you had someone measure the bumper from the floor how much would it change when you sit on it? Mine feels like it goes up but it doesn't move. Just changes angle. Like I said I am no expert but now when I floor it the skis do not lift like they did last year. I can actually control it at WOT a little

Ok it would make sense if it means ski lift, I feel like you couldn't possibly make the bumper not change angle. When I get free time this weekend I'll get back at it, thanks guys for your input, I'll be back on this thread with anymore questions
