mikuni vm38 air screw

thanks. i should have followed up before that i found the info but its always good for others searching. that's where i had mine but my PTO side carb was still a touch rich on the bottom. i now have it at 1 1/4 out and the mag side @ 1 turn out and both metering rods on the 3rd clip. plugs look pretty good but maybe just a touch dark but im ok with that. i'll take a bit rich over lean anyday. a plug now and then is better then a melt-down. its nice and crisp with no blubber and its been in the teens too. these psi pipes sound great!! much better sound then the gyt twins i had on my 94 600 v-max. to be honest this thing would walk all over that and that was pretty quick. love this thing!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya, the Exciters are a hoot. Im not sure what the weight difference is between the Ex and vmax but I never had a problem walking away from any Vmax 600 on any of my exciters. With the vmax being around 95hp you would think it would give an Exciter SX or a piped std Exciter a run for the money, but its not the case.
The pto side always runs a bit rich and thats why they have a leaner main on that side.

more good info throttlejunkie!!!!!!!! yup im really liking this thing. my vmax was very heavy and hated the ride. to be honest i think this rides good for what it is after going thru the whole thing. i also like the fact its narrow. so much better to get thru tight trails with.
