Here is a good question
They say to gear 10 percent higher than you want to achieve
So do you clutch for gearing or gear for your clutching?

well you have to clutch for the gearing you have.... the taller ratio you run in the chaincase meaning numericly lower the LOWER your rpm will be, the shorter you gear a sled, the more rpm youll have. Taller gears will require less weight in the clutch if everything else is all the same, the engine has more load applied to it so it changes the amount of weight needed to control engine rpm.

if you dial your sled in with a certain clutch set up bang on rpm then change your gears it will change the rpm of your clutch set up, so youll need to readjust if you already have it dialed in.

clutch for gearing 100 %. but keep in mind gearing is a huge factor in your sleds performance that really affects alot. thats why one should always check many of the snowmobile gearing calculators that are available. this will give ya what ratio what speed and what rpm you will be at best performance with. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Thanks. I put In 23/35 gears To See What It Will Do This Year Last Year I Had Stock 23/39 and Did 98 in 1000' , But, Like Anyone Else i Am Never Satisfied Lol Sorry About All The Capital Letters There is Something wrong With My Phone.
