what would suit me the standard kit or the dual kit? what is the difference between the two?

what size engine you running? what mods have you performed? from what i have come to hear, stock your not gonna see much improvement, if you went up from a 700 to 780 it will add a little kick and make things easier to dial in, but when you start to get into the bigger breathin beasts is when it comes into play really. 700 - 780 use the single dial-a-jet and 800-835 use the dually dial-a-jets. don't hold me to this, but i have also asked around about these and thats what i was told and thats what i have read. just my 2 cents. thanks!!!

PSI modblasters, clutched, studded. then a whole bunch of little stuff. idk think it is worth puting them on? my sled seems to be picky about temps it runs in even with the heated carbs.

eh, from what i've heard more along the lines of porting and up is when you will see it help out, but pipes might be another issue it could add to since they add so much horsepower to the yamaha's. hopefully someone else will pick up here and maybe know more than i do. good luck!!!

i dont really know about the dial-a-jets, but the tempaflow helps A LOT for consistency on my SXR with pipes. The plugs are always cardboard brown once you get them dialed, which keeps it running better, as well as improving fuel economy. Good product.

I agree sounds like a better fit to go with a tempaflow

dial a jet vs. tempa flow
well...here's the skinny...tempaflow works based on vent line restriction...and many have enjoyed this genius little device.......a piece of special plastic is in an a tube and when the temp outside goes up the plastic swells to restrict fuel flow...I.E. vacuum on the vent line....but here's the kicker....if something get's into the unit or if it clogs or fails....you go to full lean...and many have burned down from too lean right?
dial a jet work based on a minimum of whatever main jet you select PLUS metered fuel drawn based on vacuum or pulse frequency signal in your carbs...the dial's adjust the amount of air to fuel in the unit (mixing chamber) which is much lighter and more atomized than raw fuel your carb would normally deliver...so...better throttle response and cylinder "fill in" ...better fuel economy etc....
if the dial a jet ever fails...like something plugs the airhole in the mixing chamber ....you go full rich...I' like that one better..about the only chance for failure would be a fuel line obstruction or freeze..much better odds.
single dial a jet for carbs 38 mm and smaller and all yammies using a stock airbox...because it's a "bi**ch" to get at and control...I had a dually on my big bore....
now back at a single...any questions...let me know...I've used and tuned with them for 5 yrs now
