Im pretty sure its clutch related, and related to secondary if I had to guess, but heres a recap of what happens.
Wife's phazer needs a ton of throttle to get it to move... and once it moves, sled seems to surge forwards. Almost feels like something is sticking... then when there's enough throttle it finally engages and then surges forwards..... very abrupt, not smooth at all.
Track was recently changed, and every single bearing was changed so im 99% sure its not bearing related. Issue was present before/after track change.
So, assuming its clutch, any guesses as to what the issue/cause is? Do I need to look for worn slides or?
Im still a bit ?? with regards to clutching so figured Id ask and get some advice as to what/where to start looking.
If I was to look for a replacement secondary, are there specific models to stick with (models to avoid)? like, would he secondary from a vmax 700 work, or would i need to change weights, springs etc?
Thanks

Check the primary to see if it's binding, worn bushings

I'd personally start looking over the primary. And in specific, the sheave bushings.
Do the weights look smooth. No dips on the surface.

The bushings in the weights are a prime candidate also.

And it's a twin. Twin clutch components wear out quicker than our triples.
