ok I have had a bad hang I upped the pilots to 45 from 42.5 and turned screw out to 1 3/8 turn and still hangs. recleaned carbs and all jetting are brand new. checked for leaks and found nothing. throttle cable has little play and it idles at 1600. do I keep turning fuel screw out more or is there another issue. thanks for any help

It idles at 1600? Wheres the hang?
Mine just started to hang also. Only sometimes. I'll make a run and stop and idle is at 3900 and won't go down. It happened on my youtube video. I messed with cables a little and nothing happened. a few runs later, it was gone. Now I can't get it to do that again. I have my idle set to around 2000. Its not the cables. I think its something to do with the tors switch I replaced. Mine is across the board, not 1 or 2 cyls.

fuel screws need to be out a t 1.5 -1.75 out no matter what size pilots you run, most idle hang comes from after a long run as the pipes are nice and hot. If you have the fuel screws out at least 1.5-1.75 out and also have the idle down to 1500 it should come right back down. thr throttle cable should have nothing to do with it, it should be set loose with alot of slack in it to make sure the tors switch operates correctly, the idle speed is controlled by the idle stop screw not the cable.

The book it wants the screws out to 1 1/8 turns. When I had stock pilots in mine I did not have a idle hang. I have them at 45 pilot as well and no hang at 1 3/8 turn out. Maybe different machines act differently? Or am I starving mine?

thanks I'll make adjustments

Mine did it again today. I let it sit and idle and after a minute, it went down to around 2000. I was just thinking the cable was too tight but does have good play and tors works good. Yes it does happen after my speed tests. I think idle screw may have a little wear on it because just a tiny turn, idle changes alot. I'll set those screws today.
