What's so big about these f7s? I was up north this past weekend and I wasn't impressed with the 3 of them that were up there with us and the one had reeds y pipe pipe clutch kit and a oil lean kit on it and a boondocker but that wasn't hooked up yet and i wasn't impressed at all with them I thoght these things were suspose to be fast?

Like anything else, even all our srx's. It's all it the settup. If u know how to fine tune ur setup just right it really runs. I'm thinking same with them f7's, I've seen a lot I wasn't impressed with, but a few guys I know are cat guys that had some they had set up and tuned very well and they ran very strong. If u didn't get a good holeshot they were hard to catch in short runs, top end was no comparison though. Probably a different story if u regear for the same top end as an f7

the only time i ever find them fast is if your running sanctioned racing in the 700 class as they get a weight break and they can sneak in the ecm remap,y pipe and fuel pressure set up , its hard to get around that stuff and the firescrap is a pro prepped sled and your srx has to weigh 80lbs more for the same class.
Out in the real world of regular snow and ice backyard racing or whatever events they are not really a threat I find, smoked many, many of them.... the key is.... set up.....,set up..... in a srx no matter what sled your racing it against. Set up right they still will put the smack down on newer sleds of the larger cc engine as well, the srx and especially a piped viper are giant killers!

Oh ok just wondered speaking about piped vipers what's the best overall set of pipes for the vipers? My dad has been thinking about putting a set on

A post like this really makes me glad that I stuck with the old iron!

Similar story ..Last weekend I was riding my ole blister (02srx700) with three brand new F8's . The clutch set up was one I got from mrviper700 ( thanks by the way ) less the helix which was close , but one a local guy was good enough to let me try.Anyway long story short when the correct helix arives tomorrow from Dalton Ind, I got a real good feeling it'll be bang on . Mid range I was pulling on them . Haven't ran with any new Doo's this year . Anyone know how they compare to the new Cats?
