Maby I'm overt thinking this one but I just put in new rivets(3.1,4.5) and also a Bender 51/43 heli. Everything works great when it's cold but after a few hundred yards the primary gets way too hot and belt slips. Secondary seems to be cool. Would the secondary spring not being set right cause this? What's your thoughts guys.
Everything was working fine before I started tearing it apart.

Didn't leave the parking brake on did you? Wind the helix/spring the right direction?
Stock weights And wind spring to the right correct?
Ummm 95% sure the parking break was off.

Where did you put the 4.5 rivet? Heel or the tip?

Sounds like your not up shifting. Magic marker stripe your primary and go ride it again to see how much your up shifting. If its slipping its fighting the secondary on up shift.
4.5 went in the heel. It was actually a small bolt and nut. The 3.1 was a rivit.
It was up shifting up to 1/4" from the top then it's on a stand same when in was on it.
The only thing I can narrow down is the secondary spring not being set correct... whats the best setting for that?
