Hey guys having some issues here we bought some over priced pipes off of a guy on here he said he had everything necessary for hooking them up all the springs the jets tuning charts and what not well he did not send us half of the springs!!! any of jets at all!! or the tuning pages!!! I found the slp tuning page on the net and I cant get the thing to run right let alone at all... it died on us when we were trying to get it turned around in the yard it just kept running worse and worse until it died on its own we put new plugs in it and it started just to get it on the trailer I'm located in the upper peninsula iron mountain mi who has these pipes that can tell me the proper jet size and settings needle and air screw??? it did run good for a little pit and it really didn't have any noticeable power differance. the sled has a 160 main jet in it the clips are set @ 4 and the air screws are @ 1 3/4 the sled also will run a high idle @ about 4000 until you pull the choke out to make it idle down please help I've heard these are supposed to be awesome sled I cant figure this thing out!

I have slp's and mr viper porting. Here is where I am at. Mains 162.5 pilots 47.5 and clips at #4. It was good down to -10 so depending on temp your 160's sound right. You didn't mention the pilots though having to blip the choke says lean at idle (on the pilots). Mr viper said I may have to adjust as rich is better than lean just have 40 miles on this setup no snow.

I run my fuel screws at 2 1/4.
Captnviper is spot on depending on your elevation. Try turning your idle down and let it idle around 1400-1500 totally got rid of my idle hang. Make sure exhaust donuts are healthy and use high heat silicon on exhaust joints.

I just took my SLP pipes off and miss them already. I had 160 mains and 47.5 pilots 4th clip down with both shims under the clip. Ran awesome!! ( I don’t recall my air screw) but I checked my plugs often and never lean.

What is your elevation? Is it stock clutching? Short track? Need more info

its a 02 short track upper mi is around 1900 feet has huack clutching in the primary, rear is stock running 6-1 the exhaust is all sealed up with high temp silicone im going to a shop to order 162.5 mains 47.5 pilots and when i set the clips on the needles i did it wrong!!! "dumbass" i put the c clip on the 4th spot on the needle with the washers on top they are supposed to go on the bottom! hope i can get it rippin soon! thank you guys for all your input!!! any thing helps!

My 162.5's were good down to -9f. I would guess 160 be close for most riding. 162.5 be real safe, if it gets 20's and up might be rich just keep an eye on it.

leave the vent line plugged into the box with the jet specs captnviper suggested, youll be fine.
