I have a 93 Phazer II
Running deep snow and hitting drifts, snow eventually packs into the fan intake.
Anybody devise a fix for this? Or is it not a problem to worry about?
Sometimes I hear the snow hitting the fan but it seems to just melt.

you could cover the fan intake with an outerwears witch will still let the air through but no water or snow. use one on my dads venture for snow injestion on the airbox.

Thanks for the reply.
Not sure what you mean by outerwears?
I had my Exciter SX in my shop today and it has the screens on the intake, something similar might work on the Phazer?

well you can apply it that way. the one I have on my dad's sled covers the top of the airbox and just has an elastic sewn into the edge. you could call them and they might have something for a cone filter application that would fit over the fan intake on your sled. they where great on the vipers and the forced snow injestion.

I also run one on my traxxis slash extreme as it helps keep the sand and rocks out of the chassis. that one goes on with Velcro.

Thanks for the info Maim.
I like the ones on the Exciter SX, might try to fab something.
Made a float plate from a plastic oil barrel for the Exciter today so the screens should be easier after that lol.
