Break in mileage

How many miles do you guys generally give a new set of pistons and rings in,say,an SRX to consider it broke in enough to really test her out? I've got somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 on my new top end and haven't exactly taken it easy on the engine but I haven't held it WFO for extended runs either. I've got a couple of buds that need a tune'n and I think my 01 is just the rig to do it.

Rings seat relatively quick if broken in right, and if you've not been easy on it then it's probably broken in right. I give it one tank of gas and that's mainly just paying attention to keeping cylinder pressure up, no long midrange cruises or steady rpms. I'll take it wfo but only for short blasts. After that first tank I consider them ready for anything. You should be good, but only you know your sled.
