Hey guys just wanted to say Hello. Ive been dealing with lil electrical issue's (wiring harness). My 00 SRX dropped its kill switch a few miles back and the headlight relay is blown. Not a big deal cause, Im sure you guys know, I hit the Hi beams and pull and she'll start third pull. My only question is, my wiring harness is obviously getting chewed up. Is it a MUST FIX NOW? Or can I sit on it for a week or so... Any help would be awesome!

Hard to put a price on peace of mind. WIll it get worse, maybe. Will it take something out with it, not likely.
I haven't read about component failures directly related to chaffing/shorting but it's possible I spoze. Another hundered miles or two won't likely change things, but another 500 or until the season ends?
Will it leave you stranded - maybe, maybe not. Will it nag you while riding - definately.
Carrying a tow rope and not riding alone will help with the nagging, but won't help with any razzing you'll likely get from your buds if you have to use it.
As they say - your mileage may very.

Fix it, it will only get worse, its not a big deal...expecting your buddies to tow you when you know you are riding a sled with a known problem kind of is. imo
