Well if you want to turn... you probably want carbides/wear bars. BUT We have snow now!! Its still snowing here south of madison.

Yeah I'm just south of Janesville wi and its snowing pretty good here probably round six inches and still coming bout darn time.. As for turning the slp skis I have on have a good lip in the middle of the ski so I think it might still turn.. Just bein inpatient I suppose but might try it anyway been really itching to ride being my first season with a sled.. if I try it ill have to let ya know if she turns. But might try that thing they call patience to be safe

Be careful if you cross a road. It'll be like riding on sand paper. You'll be surprised how little of the ski is left when you go to put the wear bars on.

A lesson was learned. Do not throw old parts away until new ones are in hand.

As mentioned, if you're over grass and in snow go for it. Any kind of gravel or roadway will make quick work of the keel.
Considering that the wear bars after the carbides are gone only last about 1 ride before they're flat as pancakes....I'd stay off the roads. I'm sure it'll turn with a deep keel. Sounds like something I'd try. Love the enthusiasm! Let it snow...

yeah I decided to be patient didn't want to have to buy new skis just because I was impatient lol... But wow what a difference I would recommend Bergstrom's skags to anyone who is looking it really grabs the trails and I can actually turn on the cement thanks for all the input greatly appreciated
