I just bought a 1997 Vmax 700 sx . Track that was on the sled was an 1'' lug and had torn windows. Sled came with great used track. 1.25'' picked. Changed drive shaft bearings while in there. Have not been able to ride it due to the track ratchet when punching the throttle. It's sat for 2 months and we ride other sleds. Just joined this forum for this reason. I have been told that track does not work with out modifications? Any advice.?? If I remove the picks will that sled run with 1.25 '' track stock??

The track will work, you have to remove the stud protectors if they are still on, can't run studs with a 1.25 track you will tear it up unless you change the drivers.
