Today I took the yamaha up to south bend in to test it out it seems like it is collecting excess fuel in the exhaust.
Before it was wrecked the guy put new hauck pipes vfiorce stage 2 reeds and high compression
It currently has the stock exhaust back on it until I can get some hauck pipes for it
So my question. Is what is a good base point main jet to put in it to dial back on the fuel so that it does not have a lot of excess going into the exaust

It is also very hard to start even after it had been running for a while

If you have fuel in your exhaust you either have a hole in one of your diaphragms in your fuel pump letting fuel past overfilling your carbs and thus going into your exhaust also check your float height in your carbs should be 0.60 from bowl base to top of float should be a sticky for that here too

put the stock mains back in ---145/143.8/143.8 and always hold the throttle open a bit to start when warm!

Havent been on here in a while but i am in need of the stock jets for this sled. I will do my best to check back here fairly frequently but i have been super busy lately and dont think its about to change. Thanks

if it has the stock single pipe back on, get it jetted right and make sure the exhaust manifold gaskets is sealing on the exhaust flanges. 3:16x (yammie tony)

Check the choke cable adjustment, It sound as if it is adjusted too tight and running with the "enricher" half on. I hope I helped.....Vic
Also sell those pipes if you still have them, you can get some good money to put somewhere else, I think the stock pipes are the best ones.

Catnviper does this look like the correct jet? Thanks

The mikuni jets are called "small round" that is the type. Amazon sells them in packs of 4 for $11. They do not look like that. But sometimes stock pictures are not accurate.

This is what happens when you take a snowmobile on a trip without cleaning the carbs. Lesson learned! New Piston already on the way
