How to adjust the oil cable?

Hello

I have a 98 MSRX which i just cleaned the carbs on. I put it back together and the oil cable seems to be very loose. When I let go of the throttle the cable is kind of bunched up behind the throttle lever. When i pull on the throttle it opens quite far before the cable tightens up. I have looked on the site and cannot find a post on how to adjust the cable.

The only other issue I have is after I cleaned the carbs last year I could smell oil burning when ever we stopped for a brake from riding and I turned it off.

Anyone know a link to how to set the oil cable or know how to do it? I have read settings between 20 and 22 mm but not sure where to measure this.

I would prefer not to ride it for a tank of gas and see how much oil I used I would rather adjust it then do that test.

19-22 mm pull the grommet above the carbs back pull the cable apart and measure the gap. Make sure you slide everything back together when done.

go to the snowmobile tech section above in the Misc section under the MM700 manuals. it shows you how to adjust your oil pump. sorry i have no idea how to paste it on here.

This is how far I have to open the throttle before the oil cable is engaged and this seems further then it was before.
