A friend has a Venture 500 and some one installed a 600 sx triple motor in it. He said that the Tach revs very high. Are the Tachs the same or do you think it is a clutching problem. Sled takes of at 6K I told him it should be around 3800 to 4000.
I'm not 100% sure but I seem to remember that they are specific to the motor/ignition system that they are being used with.

I think it works off of pulses from the ignition. Not sure if it is the tach itself or some other electrical component that counts the pulses. What rpm does it run at wot? If it is reading way up there on wot I would say something needs changed. Can't really say for sure if it is wrong from engagement rpm.
