The vipers and SRX's use a fuel pump that has an extra hose that loops over the top of the pump.
What is the function of this hose and is it ok to use this pump on my SXR. I am intermittently loosing top end and I want to test that by swapping pumps.
Also picked up a used stator in case that could be causing it.

You can use the SRX/Viper pumps on the 600 + 700 Red head triples.
The extra hose is a bypass circuit built into the pump.

Not to get this thread off course,but what about using a redhead pump on a SRX/Viper? I see guys using them but wondered why they all didn't use the same pump?
