Boost Bottle Question

I was wondering why do the older Phazer have a boost bottle from factory and my 98 SX 700 does not, What would be the gains of adding one???

Would the boost bottle set up work with a Bender Cold Air Kit? I do not imagine vforce 3 reeds would have an issue with a boost bottle?
